Guy who booked is a superhost and has good reviews, I thought this booking would be either a piece of cake or slightly high maintenance. And while not the worst guests I've ever had, there's a lot of room for improvement and I wouldn't personally host him again.
I wasn't going to review him, but he reviewed me, so... I wrote an honest review stating the facts- communication before check in not the greatest, left the place unusually messy (spills on the hardwood floors and staircase not cleaned up, an open bottle of used chew tobacco spit left on the nightstand, food crumbs everywhere as well as old food left out...), late check out with out asking, not following the house rule of taking out the garbage at check out... I'm right outside the French Quarter in New Orleans, so I understand and expect a fair amount mess or a certain behavior. But there were just a couple too many things for me to let it slide. He left me a decent review, didn't say much, but 5 stars across the board.
Since he's a host, I didn't hold him to higher standards than I do my other guests. I was just really disappointed that a superhost would act this way. Anyone else ever run into this?
