Hi! I’m fairly new to hosting, but have used Airbnb multiple times. I have 2 pre approved bookings and both have already booked and paid through Airbnb. But after 24hrs it seems as if their bookings have not been reflected on my calendar and their’s as well.
Can anyone help with this? I’m trying to verify why this happened and how I can solve this.
Hello Patricia, Firstly in your message stream do you have booking confirmation codes for these two reservations? If you go to your messages and click the booking guest you have had contact with, if you have a confirmed booking it will displayed when you click the message stream with this guest, and the confirmation code will appear as in this screenshot.....
Patricia if you do have these codes then you have a confirmed reservation/s .
If they are not reflected on your calendar what this means that your device is using stored information from your cache.
It pays to log -off and clear your cache and then log on again!
If clearing your 'cookies' does not solve your problem then I suggest you try another browser.
If you are using a computer I would recommend you to try either Firefox or Chrome on a desktop / laptop.
Mozilla Firefox tends to work best with the Airbnb platform.
If you are using a phone here is the link to re-installing your app....
and here are the links to refreshing your cache.....
https://www.technobezz.com/what-is-cached-data-clear-app/ Android cache clear
https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201265 IPhone cache clear
These points are a wise bit of 'houskeeping to do every now and then and you will not loose any of your information by performing these taks.
What is happening Patricia your computer/device becomes 'lazy' and drags information from your cache instead of retireving it from the internet each time. This comes about because you do not log-out of the progrtam each time you leave it and the program shuts down through inactivity and the next time you reopen it it takes you back to where you previously were!
I hope this helps explain what is happening Patricia and if you need any more help I can try.
Cheers......Rob
Hi I am new to air Bnb. I had 3 bookings but there seems to be no action now. Is there times where its slower then ithers?
@Carolyn244Unfortunately, I think it might be the review from Daniel.
The photo of the deer so close to the window is amazing.
Hi @Carolyn244.
I must agree with Noel, regarding Daniel’s review. That’s a door stopper! As for the language of luxury, this doesn’t quite marry up with air mattresses as the prime bedding, especially at your prices. But I do not know your specific area.
Consider a closer look at what you are offering, and if economically viable, put a proper bed in the space and reduce the persons to use it to two.
A luxury studio needs to be just that.... and if it is in the basement, your listing needs to be reworded and advertised as such. Your description doesn’t appear quite accurate, even if by omission.
On a personal note, as a host and a guest, I would not book through a host that does not use a facial image of themselves for their profile. For safety and to avoid third party bookings, we demand facial images of guests, so I think we should grant them the same courtesy. Just food for thought...
Best of luck.
Cathie
Thank you for the input. It’s appreciated. It is a bit aggravating as Daniel I believe was there to just have a quicky with his girl. But I agree I am new to this and should get a bed. Thank you. 😊
