I had reason to check my nightly rates today and discovered that the rates in peak periods had changed on their own randomly. This came to light as a result of a booking in the peak period when the total didn’t look quite right . Some nights were correct and others were the base nightly rate for a night or two and then the correct rates.
I dont use use smart pricing or the price tips so this is not the cause of the issue. Others might like to check their peak rates are as they expect them to be. I know the rates were consistently correct as I double checked them when I updated the pricing for the year.
I had this happen last year. Oddly, like others here, the dates affected were holiday dates. Nights I can charge triple (and was) were reset to my base price. Place got booked at that price for a three day weekend but I decided to let it go. That was before I had become wise to these apparent 'glitches'. Now I take screen shots of all of my calendar months with the prices I set. I only have to do this with Airbnb. Never had these sort of problems on the other booking sites. Glad you are all reporting it, and I'd try and get that booking cancelled.
I have experienced this several time, did not realize that it is so common. Has anyone heard if Airbnb are dealing with it?
