Cancellation policy

I have had a booking for May for 18 days since January. Yesterday the guest changed the reservation to four days in July. I have a strict  cancellation policy. I gave approval for the change. Does that negate the cancellation or should I be entitled to the 50% of the original booking?

Hi @Evelyn10,

 

You will not receive any cancellation money as the reservation was modified.  The guest did not cancel but he is still held to the strict cancellation policy when he stays in July.  Some people try to pull a fast one like maybe booking for 18 days and then later instead of cancelling, modifying it to one or two days, having the host accept and then cancelling because then they are only paying a cancellation on two days.  This person may be doing this as well.
