Do Babies count : ) ? The Timers Ticking !

Hi , I have a Newer listing and still learning the ways of a becoming a host . Today I recieved a request from a guest about her ,her Hubby and thier Baby staying at my place . While they meet thier friends for a wedding nearby . When I looked at thier request closer I noticed that it was for 4 people ? So before I accept thier request I sent a msg asking if thier reservation was for 4 Adults and a Baby ?(My place has a guest limit of 4) .Or just her, Hubby and Baby ?  I also let them know that my place isnt "ToddlerProof".

I havn't recieved a responce to the msg yet and the Timmer is running ? What's the common answer here from the community ? Thanks The New Guy ! Tommy

I do accept babies at no charge if they are still being carried around (not toddlers, and not babies that can walk) and that will sleep in the same bed as the parents or in a portable playpen or pram than they have to bring. My listing is has stairs, but I expect parents to take precautions and keep the baby under observation at all times, or in playpen near them. That is just common sense parenting.

@Tommy5 There is a big debate going on about whether babies constitute a "guest" for reservation purposes or not.  What is your policy? That's something you will have to decide for yourself.  My listing has a no small children policy....

If the guest sent you an inquiry, and you answered, there's nothing more for your to do.  Since they didn't answer your question, just click on the Dismiss button.

Don't be too quick to suggest that it's the hosts decision, just reading about this subject on the old groups, it's a nightmare!!!

Well, my rules are MY rules, no matter what policy Airbnb decides to implement. It is still up to me to accept a reservation. Babies that can walk will be charged the adult rate. It is much harder to clean up after them....spilled juice, fingerprints on glass panes, extra washing. Nope, Airbnb, you cannot dictate what my terms should be.
