One of our favourite things to do with guests is a surprise visit to a local plaza where they can try the local delicacie Balut. It’s amazing how adventurous most are. What’s your local delicacy?

There are delicacies in my woods, though. I show guests where to find the wild asparagus and wild garlic. I don't show anyone, even my husband, because he cannot be trusted not to crack under questioning, where to find the morels.

According wikipedia it is even a greater challenge to eat, because the octopus-arms are still moving and can choke the consumer....
