Finding a reliable cleaning service

A question for hosts.....

How do you all locate a reputable and reliable cleaner/cleaning service when you do not live locally to your rental property?  Do you request references?  Do you locate them on social media? 

I live in a very tourist oriented town, Invermere BC, which is a short driving distance to multiple ski hills and golf courses. Having lived here my whole life I am often approached by part time residents looking for a recommendation for service providers. This is why I decided to put my vast network and 20 plus years cleaning experience to good use and start a cleaning and property care company, Clean Connection.
