GUEST BANK ACCOUNT QUESTION

It's weird that my Air BnB guests opened a bank account with my address, right? It's totally reasonable for me to have asked them to cancel it/take my address off their account? They are only staying with me for a week and a half.

Of course you are correct! 

Under no circumstances would this ever be a good idea. Next they will be applying for a mortgage, hiring a car, taking out a bank loan or re-directing your mail. 

Call Airbnb directly if you are worried about these guests - but this is not a good start, especially if they didn't ask you. So how did you find out?

After more thought - I don't even think you should be waiting for your guests to respond...... If you know this because of some mail received or however - and therefore you know the bank in question - get in touch with them immediately to inform them.

Normally to open an account you need some proof of permanent residence - a utility bill, drivers license etc... so HOW did they open a bank account with your address? Either the bank's practices and verifications are slack - or there is something fraudulent happening.

Don't wait - call/contact the bank TODAY.
