Guest request date change during her stay

My guest who is a student, has booked a reservation for 4 nights.  She comes in town for a game with her team.  After the first night, she messages me that she has changed her mind and wants to stay for 2 nights, instead of 4.  She says she wants to go to Boston or New York for a short trip with her friends.   

I then seach Airbnb site and let her know that she should contact Airbnb for this because she is the one who require change on the reservation.  Am I doing the right thing?  What is your take on this situation?

She can change her reservation but has to do so through the site.

Kids... I have a very strict cancellation policy for this very reason.  If someone wants to change her mind after reservation... too bad.  I am not here to subsidize one's changing travel plans - it costs me my income.  Check your cancellation policy and stick to it.
