New Phishing Scam

We have been getting (at least 6 by now over the last 2 months) one line inquiries in the middle of the night (between 2am and 4am when it is hard to answer quickly) by guests with 0 reviews (one was even a host with no bookings) . They say 'I need a bed' and then they NEVER respond when I: Pre-Approve them or respond back. Anyone else getting these? I did report them to Airbnb but no response or feedback about them from corporate.

I wouldn't pre-approve these people. They aren't serious about booking.

OK, yes, I see your point and have reported them to Airbnb.

So I will not preapprove them anymore...but should I respond? in case one is legit?
