It was nice to see the new cover photo. It was time for a change.
But it brings to mind issues I have with my husband.
I'll ask " did you fix such and such? " He'll say. " No, but I brought you flowers from the garden. "
Ok I like the flowers but I'd rather have had the sink fixed!
Cosmetic changes while the rest of the site crumbles. :/
I'm glad you spotted the new cover image on the CC homepage, it feels like we have a lick of paint and I totally agree with you, that it makes a nice change after a couple of years. :)
Beth, to put your mind at rest, we updated the new photo here in the CC ourselves, it didn't take any development time away from the Airbnb product teams. I would like to claim it was a harder job than uploading an image, but alas I cannot! hehe
As you can imagine there are many different teams at Airbnb focusing on all the different areas that make up our global community, many of these teams overlap, but when you see one change or new thing launched it doesn't mean that the focus on another area has stopped, they are just working side by side.
Do you think we should update the CC Homepage images more frequently then?
