Refunds via Airbnb

I gave a refund to a guest via Airbnb and it gave this note

"We’ll deduct £**** from your next payout and send the money"

However checking a credit card and they just taken that amount without telling me,  anyone have experience of this?

Saw a few references to this - do you have any future reservations against which they could have deducted the refund. Wondering if that is why your ccard was used?

Yes, there is one in 2 weeks.  Bit odd,  travelling at the moment so can't easily call Airbnb.
