Registeration Process with the council

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site and this new adventure I'm hoping to take on board this year.

I'm renovating my Mums flat and my end goal is to rent it out either as an Airbnb or through a booking site as a self catering cottage. 

I'm getting all my papers and information together and one of the questions I have which I'm hoping someone might be able to answer or point me in the right direction is do I need to register as a landlord for an Airbnb status?

I don't want to have to speak to my local council unless I have to. 

Any tips would be grately appreciated.

Take a look at your local council website, in Liverpool we don't, we only need to register if we are a "normal" landlord, i.e. long term tennants
