Reservation and corona virus

I received a reservation request the guy named Tim, after accepting it, I got a photo of the guy from New York and a lot of good positive feedbacks.

The guy writes in airbnb web site message, he will be late; I was waiting (I stop leaving the key from coronavirus scare started).

When he showed up shortly before midnight, I realized he does not look like the photo, I have and his last text to me comes was from Europen phone number.

At first, he introduces himself as Tim, but when I ask why is he has a European phone, he said,  that it is  Great Britain and his name is Clark.

I was ready to show him the door, but he looks like OK and it was too late to send him to the street.

I ask ID, make a copy for myself and let him stay.

What is the rule in this kind of circumstance?

In a time, when we all afraid of coronavirus, we have to be vigilant of the people, who enter our home.

I don't like to profile, but now, I believe we have no choice, but to watch carefully for people, coming from infected countries.

I don't have power and will check the temperature, etc., but common sense tells me, some kind of wetting has to be done.

@Ann574, irrespective of coronavirus, this is a third party booking and is completely against Airbnb policy. Third party bookings are very problematic as Airbnb has no details about the guest, you are unable to communicate with them through the messaging platform and you cannot leave a review. In this case, it is even more of an issue if they have just got off a plane. There are big red flags for me here because Tim was not transparent about the third party booking and Clark pretended that he was Tim at first. Why doesn't Clark have his own account? Call Airbnb and get them to cancel the booking.

@Ann574 I'm not sure exactly what you're saying. It sounds like a stranger showed up purporting to be a member of Airbnb and lied to you. He's actually another guy replacing the guy that booked. I see red flags and I wouldn't appreciate someone lying to me and staying in my house. How long is he booked for? I once had a person that showed up that wasn't the person that booked and I wouldn't let him stay and told him so and sent him on his way. I was nice about it but I was firm and he wasted my time.
