My airbnb guest damaged my house and we asked for a security deposit. After we got home they drove into our front step and it will cost us alot to fix. I contact Airbnb and I was sent to the resolution centre. I am now waiting for a response. What is the point of a security deposit?!?! How long will it take to get an answer?
The guest has 72 hours to either approve or decline your request. If that time runs out or if they decline, you can escalate it to Airbnb. I would think that the Airbnb insurance might cover your step though or they may make you make a claim through their auto insurance policy.
