@Miami-Modern-Loft0 (your parents clearly had a sense of humour to give you that name! 🙂 ) protection from damage is what the security deposit is for, and any financial transaction about damages outside of AirBnB's system would, I think, be considered an off-site payment which is against AirBnB rules. Having said that, if you do have a security deposit as part of your pricing there is no harm in highlighting this in the information pack or whatever else you give the guest when they arrive.
