A guest had to cancel her visit on the day of arrival. As a goodwill geesture, I changed my Strict penalty to Flexible - and reduced 4 nights to the 1 obligatory night - to avoid her having to pay the full amount. I advised her to cancel the one night if possible from her end.
To sum up, the guest never showed up but because she did not cancel (nor did I as I did not instigate it) we are now being asked to write reviews as system clearly thinks that she stayed one night. Could Airbnb scrap the review on this occasion as not applicable. We are both on good terms but it is pointless and complicated to write reviews given circumstances. (I have offered her a special price - if there is a next time for one night - to soften the 1 night she has been charged with).
Look forward to your advice.
