add state taxes

Hello Matthew, you are great with responses!   I think Airbnb should employ you!  🙂  Well, I guess I am not sure?  I have seen some listings add state taxes (like 7%, whatever each states requires).  Is this necessary, are we supposed to collect state tax for rentals and add it to the price??  I have just noticed some people do it.  Thank you Matthew!
