My guest was supposed to check in today. His flight was cancelled due to weather. He wants a refund, but I have "strict" cancellation policy. I don't think I owe him a refund. Any thoughts? Oh, there were 4 of them sharing my place, and I don't charge for extra people, so the cost for each of them is only $50 per night.
@Deborah42 There was a similar post a few hours ago from a host in Denver who's guest didn't want to drive while it was snowing. Same deal...due to check in today. I would stand by my cancellation policy. Also, since you haven't been paid, I'd tell the guest to discuss the situation with Airbnb. That said, I did hear on the news that the Denver airport was closed.
