hi,

Why is airbnb charging singapore dollar 200+ for a cancellation done by my guest. isnt this amount 'exorbitant' to say the least! they shud just charge USD50 or sumthing like that. my guest which cancelled his booking was furious. im not happy at all. airbnb already charge 12% +3% from us!  and keep telling us to 'reduce' the rate till we cant pay even the bank loan! They should bring ALL the fees & charges down ASAP!!!!

As a host you are charged 3% - you are not charged 12-13%. The Guest is charged a booking fee that can be up to 13%.

Your guest will lose their booking fee unless there are extenuating circumstances for cancelling.
