host referral

I  sent  my sister in the UK a host referral link.  She must have deleted it by accident and asked me to send her another one, as she is now ready to list with Airbnb.

When I touched the host refer button on my website I got a message at the top of the page saying

".you are not eligible for host referrals at this time"?  Why would that be? I have 5 star reviews on my listing. I had only one cancelation from a guest, who asked for his money back  which I assisted him with.

My husband as cohost called Airbnb and was told my sister needs to set up an account first?

That does not make any sense since

a)  I am referring her to airbnb, and

b) it does not explain why I am getting the message I am not elegible for host referrals at this time...

Could somebody please shed some led onto this issue?

Never heard of this one I'm afraid. Perhaps give BNB a call (use the search function at the top for contact details if you don't have them)

So the first time you sent the link, no error popped out right?

It was only after a second time of sending, that the error popped up?

Try logging out of your account (my way of refreshing my Airbnb account), log in back. And try sending the link again.

It is only host referral. Shouldn't cause any problems i believe.

If that doesn't work, contact Airbnb right away.
