price changes

I have pre-approved guests for a two week period over Christmas but I hadn't finalised my price for that period.  I messaged the guest to advise of this but the pre-approval from Airbnb has the old prices on it.  I have now amended my prices (total will be almost £80 more than Airbnb have in their pre-approval box).  Will this automatically change when the guest actually books?  I have looked at removing the pre-approval and starting again but Airbnb instructions on how to do this don't work.  The guest knows the situation via our messages to one another

Hi Caroline,

Price, under which initial inquiry was made will always be the final price for that booking unless you change it manually under the special offer feature.

In my experience the most important thing is to keep your potential guests aware of might be changes in price so what I would do in your situation is make a special offer matching your required price under that inquiry and if guest is happy he should accepts it so VOILA 🙂

Just be aware that under special offer there is no automatic addition of your extra charges like extra person, cleaning etc.

This may be a silly question but if I put my price up now by ten euros on each room would all the bookings I have until August have to pay that price or the price they originally booked in for ie 10 euros less?  Does the system cope with that ok?

If you change your price it only applies to new bookings - anything already booked (say for August) remains at the original booked and agreed price.
