my guest has left some belongings in my flat and i want to post it to him, but airbnb blocks out all addresses, also private email or facebook. so i can't get hold of the postal address....
any idea?
THis is such a hassle, I get this all the time and today I have to box up a hair straightener to send to California.
If you go back to the original itinerary, it has the guest phone number on it, you can call them or send them a message. They also can call you which is a better idea. If they want an item back, they can go through the hassle of figuring out how to get you the info! THey just stayed at your place so they can even send a letter to you.
You have their names so it should be possible to find them on Facebook.
And if you go to your reservation history and find the guests in question, there is a link where you can send them an email.
I think what @Claudia46 is indicating here is that she is messaging with then guest who is probably trying to send their address through the messaging system but as we all know, it will not allow it. She should have you phone number so she can call you or vice versa. I know it is quite frustrating.
I think this calls for a new suggestion for Airbnb: Add "Guest forgot item" as an option on the resolution center.
