I am a superhost and I would like to maintain the status so I've been paying a lot of attention to my percentages in the past few weeks. Until last week I had 78% of 5 star reviews, out of 38 completed trips. So I knew I was really close to the 80%, with only one 5 star review I would reach the 80%!

So I received a guests some days ago and I took so good care of her, she loved her trip! She wrote me a great review but the percentage of 5 star comments is still at 78%! And I asked her today how many stars did she give me and she guaranteed she gave me 5 stars...

Does it need some days to change or is it automatic?

Thanks

Misha

Hi Misha,

I would urge you to not worry about Super Host status. It has no benefits.

I am not a super host and did not worry about it until today when I noticed that guests can filter by Super host. However they can also filter by instant book and I removed my instant book a few weeks ago when I was ill and a guest instant booked, but they had a two month old son. I did not want to expose a new born to whatever I had so I wrote to them and cancelled the booking. I could not wait for them to cancel because they made a booking less than 24 hours before arrival.

They wrote back and thanked me as they did not want to risk their baby's health either. Since then I do not use instant book.

However I guess I am missing out on guests who filter by superhost or by instant book. Will have to re-think this.
