verification pending...?

Hey Y'all, a guest is trying to reserve my place. My calendar has a banner that reads "verification pending". He let me know that what he can see reads, "We're finishing things up... Sometimes ID verification can take longer than expected. Please hold tight here — this shouldn't take more than a minute or two. Thanks!". However, these messages have appeared for over 4 hours now. Sould I keep waiting or should I block the dates to help ensure he can reserve my place for those days? Or, is there anything else I can do? Thanks a bunch. With regard from Philadelphia, Deborah

If you block it, he won't be able to book it either. Has he submitted a booking request, or are you two in the inquiry stage? if he is just inquiring, you could always decide to let go of the verification requirement, then reinstate it later again.

Verification actually doesn't mean much, just gives us all a feeling of a little bit of security. Somewhere in the Airbnb explanations about verification it actually reads, " it's not  an endorsement or guarantee of someone's identity"... so what good does it really do??

Thanks. This is the information I was missing. I'll figure out how the verification option you mention and hope to resolve soon.
