3 star review showing up as 5 star

We stayed at an airport bnb and had some real issues with the house and owner. I wrote a nice 3 star review but it shows up at a 5 star. I noticed other reviews said it was a 1 star review but there were 5 stars above it. How can an owner change the stars and make it look like everyone is giving them 5 stars??

Are you sure that you gave 3 stars for the overall rating @Laurie917 ?

The individual category ratings (cleanliness, etc.) are not displayed per guest. So if you gave 3 stars for one or more of those, it will only be taken up in the average rating for the category.

The rating next to your name should be the overall rating that you gave.

I am 100 percent sure! Other reviews of this house said this is a one star review....but it had 5 stars! These people have figured out how to change the Overall stars to 5 on every review! They have all 5 star reviews!!!!

I've found your 3-star review.

For the specific property, it's the only one that isn't 5 stars and it is reflected in the overall rating average of 4.94.

The hosts have several reviews under 5 stars (for all properties combined) with an average of 4.86.

Check out **. Read the reviews. Read Jazzy and Davids other reviews for their other houses....They have a company with many airbnb houses that are not being properly taken care of and then hacking the rating system to make it look like they have ALL 5 stars. It should have been a red flag that they had all 5 star ratings.

YoUr Review can only  be edited by tnhe person submitting, even Airbnb staff ca n not alter.

The default for Revkews is no stars Reviewer alone is respomsible to give a Star Rating Overall and desifnated Catagories.

Sometimes the confusion is Airbnb does nogt calculate the Overall Rating by accumulating Catagory scores.

You can give every Catagory 1 star but if Overall you clicked 5 Stars it goes through.  Airbnb does not give any warning to the submitter.

It happens  both ways you can  give 5 stars and give an overall 1 star  by mistake.

I clicked 3 overall stars! No doubt about it! If these cannot be changed then why does the home owner have several days to dispute the review? Anything can be hacked when it comes to computers. Airbnb is no exception.

Check out Skyfall house in Mariposa, CA. Look at the reviews. Look at Jazzy and David's other reviews....some say this is a 1 star rating but the overall says 5. They have found a way to make ALL their reviews 5 stars. Check it out for yourself. I know for sure because I gave them 3 stars overall and it is not somehow showing 5. How do I change my review back to 3 stars?

This should not be happening! Reviews cannot all be trusted. Just like any computer application airbnb can be hacked and these people have figured out how. Check out **. Look at the reviews. Jazzy and David have found a way to make ALL reviews 5 overall stars.
