A Concierge for your Airbnb

Hi there,

I am Roland, an entrepreneur at UC Berkeley. I run a technology company that is building high-end concierge service, and I'm curious about its application to Airbnbs.

I am an Airbnb host myself (in my hometown Hamburg, Germany) and would be curious to learn about your take on this idea.

The Wing concierge service allows your guests to get anything they need done. This can range from daily activities, such as food delivery and dry cleaning, to scheduling upcoming events, such as reservations, booking luxury transportation, and providing travel advice. We have connections around the world to ensure that customer requests, no matter how difficult, are handled.

Would you be open to offering this concierge app as part of your listing to improve the guest's experience (and ultimately potentially the rating)?
Here is some more information: https://Getwingapp.com/airbnb

If you are interested in trying it out, I would love to start a FREE pilot with you to discover together what opportunities we have and if my idea works as well as I think it will.

DM me and/or post any questions to this thread - happy to hear from you

Have a great week,
Roland

Oh, I see! Yes, that is something we can do. I love that! 🙂

Why would a guest pay to use your app, when with most hosts the information they need is in the hosts guide book.

It would seem silly for them to pay you to important information from a host's guide book , when they get it for free by using the information the hosts already provides.

1) Many people like the convenience of having information researched for them rather than searching for it themselves (it saves them valuable vacation time).

2) The service is capable of many more things beyond just finding information from the guide book (see above).

3) We don't know yet how to monetize the service. Right now, we offer a free pilot to find out if and how guests will use it and how much they like it. Later, we can see who benefits most from it and who would be willing to pay for it (and how much).

As I mentioned earlier, it is not for everyone - like some people hate visiting museums while others love it so much they do it several times a month. If we can only reach 1% of the Airbnb listings, we can already make more than one million people per year happy (while 99% may dismiss the idea) 🙂

@Helen3 if you want to try it, let me know. It's certainly free for now - and maybe it will be surprisingly great! 🤗

No I don't want to try it @Roland393 - as I've already said my guests are not your target market.

Besides if you wanted me to user test your product to provide feedback to inform the development of your product..  I would expect to be paid for doing so.

Fair enough, I'm glad we talked about it 😊
