Air BNB would report when a host cancelled a booking, a message in the reviews stated “the host cancelled this booking XXX days before” but I cannot find this message in any reviews now - did they remove these? or hide them?
I'm reading that was phased out towards end of 2022 does that sound right?
Hi,
I might need to cancel a booking from a guests that is more than 45 days in the future. I am aware that as a host, I will have to pay a cancellation fee. I also remember reading, many years ago, when I was trying to book a place to stay, some reviews about “the host cancelled this booking XXX days before”. Am I understanding this thread correctly that those automated messages are no longer being added under a property when the hosts cancels?
I am aware of the rules about the host/guests leaving each other reviews after a cancellation, and the criteria whether the cancellation was made before the check-in date, etc [article: https://www.airbnb.ca/help/article/368?locale=en&_set_bev_on_new_domain=1751473729_EAMmQ3MTEwODBjYT] but I wasn't sure whether the automated review by Airbnb stating the cancellation was done XXX days before check-in message would still happen regardless. Sounds like those automated messages have been removed all together?
Thanks!
