Airbnb Error Message When Booking

I am receiving an error message when trying to book since Saturday. I did EVERYTHING these reps asked me to do even waited 24 hours trying to book. It seems like nobody can help especially a senor account manager. They are trying to see it is my cards but i called my bank there is not hold of such, after doing my investigation  it seems like I am not the only one having this issue. Mind you I had something booked before this and Airbnb cancelled it due to something with that host and now I am having a booking issue. If anyone can help that would be great my trip is in 10 days Airbnb is not trying to help at all.

Hi @Kera26 

What kind of error are you seeing exactly? It’s possible that the listing you’re trying to book declined your request. Have you tried searching for listings that have Instant Book enabled? Those can usually be booked immediately without waiting for approval, which might help avoid this issue. 

Hey so I’m getting one that says to try again when I’m trying to book.  I tried all forms of payments but it is not working and even tried a different listing. I haven’t gotten any declines yet cause I can’t get past the payment portion.

The host may have a limit on the booker needs to be someone with a good review rating, or they only accept bookings from guests who have a good track record. 

Another thing is are you booking a place for yourself or for someone else? Airbnb doesn’t like people to do their party bookings (family member books for someone else). The person staying should be the one booking (so hosts can communicate all rules and the guest receives crucial information on how to enter the space/use the space, the payment can be a parent/adult child’s credit card. 

Instant booking prevents one from waiting to be approved for a stay by the host. Let us know how it works out for you.
