Airbnb Reimbursement Request

Had guests may 2024 that destroyed my property. Airbnb refuses to contact me. You sent an insurance assessor/adjuster and 3 months later I was contacted by a new representative saying that person was fired and they were starting over. Airbnb has not contacted me and will not follow up. Very disappointed. I hope no one else ever has damages by guests because you are on your own.

Insurance is regulated a state level - find out who Is commissioner and ask them to investigate if Airbnb is licensed. In WA this forced them to use an actual insurance company and reevaluate all the past claims 🙂

Hi Chris, you're right in saying that you're on your own if guests damage your property. I had evidence of guests damaging mine and Airbnb refused to reimburse me or hold the guests accountable. They even claimed (without evidence) that my place was faulty/broken before the guests arrived, even though I shared pictures of before and after. I will give the guests a real honest review as I don't think anyone else has, and then unfortunately remove my listing altogether. I've had a very nasty experience with uncivilized guests who are apparently Airbnb regulars.
