Hello Airbnb Support,

I registered my business on Airbnb two weeks ago, but I have not received any guests or bookings yet. I would appreciate your guidance on whether my listing is active and if there is anything I can do to improve visibility.

Kind regards

Dorcas

Congratulations on your new listing and welcome aboard!

Please know that there are many factors that cause - or do not cause -potential guests to choose your listing as their #1 preference,  if they are actually in the market to travel right now. Time off, family and work, budget, weather, time of year, health, convenience, etc etc.

Be patient. Two weeks is a very short time! Building this business is a long term investment. The platform is like being in an enormous candy store. So, so hard to choose!

May the new year bring you some wonderful experiences!

Hi @Dorcas32 .. welcome and good on you for opening your place for others!

I notice that you appear to have 2 listings.. so I am not sure which is correct...

Some observations on the Tsavo cite:

1. You state that the place sleeps 4 guest, but only one bed.  you may need to explain that more.

2. Your photographs with multiple images are OK.. but once enlarged to see any detail the images are not clear.. the quality / size of each image is not good.

3. Your verbal description of your place is only one sentence which is not very helpful for prospective guests to know more about the place. You need to describe your place as the best available to attract guests.

4. What places are nearby (and how far away.. 5 mins walk?) that more encourage guest who don't know your community... cafes?  food marketplace? tourist spots? shopping? games centers? wildlife?....

If you were going to place that your don't know.. what would you want to know about the surroundings?

5. You only list 11 amenities that you offer.. you may wish to review that list.

6. It is good that you are offering an initial discount.. those first review become very important to attract more guests. It seems that your nightly charge is very low... you may want to check that with other Airbnb places nearby.

Best wishes with your new venture... be patient.

Regards,

Graham

You published two new listings, they are both in the search system.

My remarks in short:

- I see same photos in both (different) listings (?)

- One listing says: 4 guests, 1 bed (?)

- Description / titles could be improved/extended

- Are all available amenities listed ?

@Emiel1

Yes, I am currently on the listing and I will make the correction to the 4 guests / 1 bed setting.

Thank you for pointing this out.

Best regards,

Dorcas
