As bookings will undoubtedly ease, I'm going to do a few neglected jobs to the house. I'm going to oil the deck, clean out the shed, do some gardening, clean the windows, touch up paintwork, prune a big tree, clean the brick pavers, weed the gravel, a few repairs here and there. All the things I don't have time for normally. Yesterday I planted three window boxes. Anyone with plans for downtime?
Already wearing the mask so I think a fresh coat of paint is definitely a possibility?
No masks available anywhere here... so I would need to use a quick dry paint!
Lol..
My default position too @Mark1357 large tin of white emulsion inside, large drum of masonry paint outside.
Bookings seem to be coming in still 😬..... hikers and people travelling on business.
I'm doing house painting, (always doing gardening) Spouse, who is in the higher risk group, is making cabinets for our kid's cafe ( a good time for remodeling just now) And I'm finally doing some ceramics. We were planning on getting back into hosting this spring but now is not the time & a fat kitty for future travel is not the current priority & all University events are being cancelled anyway. We are planning a camping trip to Death Valley, cheap & we will be keeping the social isolation going, be well Sally
If I run out of jobs, I'm going to learn how to play the cornet. Good to make plans!
LoL We never fun OUT of jobs here!
Live music at home! Heck yeah! If you are jazz fans, check out KCSM 91.1 24/7 commercial free jazz that also streams online- every D.J. does their own programming & you will hear all genres & eras. It's the reason our grand kid took up the sax & her solo on Freddy the free loader is pretty darn fabulous says this totally unbiased Grannie.

Good post @Sandra126 .
Great ideas: @John1574 , @Sally221 , @Mark1357 & @Mike-And-Helen0 .
For me: some high pressure water cleaning (all year round), pruning Wet Season growth and repotting here. Inside maintenance has already been done during our seasonal quiet time! Lol...
🤣🤣🤣
As we are above our Airbnb space: when it’s empty, we can also turn the music up louder, dance harder and be glad to be alive! The grandkids can also run up the hall chasing Pokémon’s or whoever it is under this phase of the moon........
Maybe it’s also a time to nourish our inner selves and pick up or begin those hobbies, for the in - between times: that we have always promised ourselves to start. Read more of our own books or buy a few electronic ones if you are stuck inside.
If we need / or are forced to social distance, then there’s always You Tube to show us how to do those hobbies or crafts. For even if the hobbies are not directly related to hosting, they will make us more rounded and relaxed... hence, better hosts!
Love this post @Sandra126.
I mowed my tiny lawn at the weekend, so it must be Spring! Last year I had a total block on growing my own veggies and missed planting anything, I had a great year the year before. But, as I'm expecting to have quite a bit of time in the house, I'm going on a gardening mission to get closer to living off my own supplies.
I know there are a lot of gardening lovers / experts in the CC so anyone got any recommendations on what I should grow? The soil isn't the best and previously I have just used pots...so any tips would be helpful!
@Cathie19, this sounds great. I think we could get some crafts going in the CC. We all have different skills, hobbies - I think we could teach each other and I'm sure that would all benefit us in the long run. : ) What do you think?

It will be trail maintenance here, @Sandra126 . It's always our favourite job. (Not being sarcastic. It really is our favourite. Outdoors, peaceful, pretty, all that.)
@Sandra126 We will be power washing the exterior of the property, including patio and driveway. Time to put in the spring veggie garden. Touch up paint needed in the interior. Plan to have the patio furniture powder coated, cheaper than a new set. May try to talk my husband into painting the storage shed.
Mike will be running homeschool next week. Wish him luck!
