Someone asking me if they could book to stay at my Airbnb for 12 months, it sounds like a great deal but just wondering if it would breach any of the Airbnb regulations, and is there any downsides of long-term stay, what questions should I ask them and will they be paying every month ..? Can any host that had experience with this help me
@Ha-Anh1 yes they can and no you shouldn't allow it. There is no contract or security deposit and Airbnb will only collect money each month. Failure of the guest to pay leaves you with the eviction problem which might be difficult if you have created a tenancy by accident.
Also the fees make no sense as any realtor or estate agent will be more cost effective for stays over a month or two.
Hi @Ha-Anh1 😊,
Thank you for asking this question in the Community Center!
What do you think about our hosts' suggestions? Did they help you better understand the situation?
Don’t hesitate to let us know!
