My host has been unresponsive the entire day of the check in day. I raised an issue with Airbnb, and they couldn't reach out either. They are only able to offer refund/cancellation for my stay, which I booked more than 3 months in advance. Now I don't have accommodations, and all hotels are at least 3 times the cost, which Airbnb will not reimburse. I am not sure what to do. Can someone help?
I am sorry to hear about this @Jaden21 . Unfortunately there would be no help on this forum and it is best to still try to work with Airbnb Customer support. Of course Airbnb would not give you 3 times the amount that you booked but did they offer a percentage of the booking cost to cover the price difference as they often do this?

@Jaden21 Sadly as with many things, Airbnb is slightly disingenuous with its Aircover offering for guests. They say they will book you a new place or refund the money. Clearly the first part has value, the second is just your legal right to a refund when no service has been provided. There is very little you can do I am afraid. Make sure everything is documented with Airbnb so that at least you get the refund. You could then make a fuss on a public forum like Facebook and they may help with your hotel costs.
Not that is not the only thing Airbnb can do. If the listing isn't available they can help you find alternative comparable accommodation. If the cost is higher Airbnb should charge the host for this.
