Hi,
I wanted to kindly check regarding the cancellation policy, as we may need to change our accommodation due to an emergency situation involving my baby. She has recently developed motion sickness, so we are trying to reduce our travel time during the trip, especially long commutes between locations and to the airport, so that she can have a more comfortable and relaxed experience.
We are not planning to cancel our trip itself, only looking for accommodation that is closer and more convenient for our situation. I completely understand the policies in place, but I would truly appreciate any consideration you may be able to provide regarding a full refund.
The cancellation policy attached to a listing dictates about a refund (if any) when a guest cancels a booking.
Normally you can see the figures before definitily confirming the cancellation.
It depends on the host if an additional refund can be provided by agreement, you need to contact the host.
But a host is not obliged to provide extra refund.
Special circumstances can override the cancellation policy ("major disruptive events"), you will find them in this article:

You could also contact AIrbnb support to ask for possible relocation options.
@Emiel1
Thank you for your response and for sharing the policy details.
I completely understand that cancellation policies exist and that hosts are not obligated to provide additional refunds. However, I was genuinely hoping for some empathy and consideration given the emergency situation involving my baby’s health.
This was not a casual change of mind or change in vacation plans. We only needed accommodation that would reduce long travel times and make the trip less stressful for my child.
As a long-time and responsible Airbnb guest, this experience has honestly been disappointing. Still, I appreciate your time and guidance regarding relocation options and the policy information.
Thank you.
If you are having an emergency situation with your child's health you can look to use your travel insurance @Moumita8
You can see what cancellation policy your host has on your booking and when you go to cancel you can see what refund you are eligible for .
What did the host say when you spoke to them about this?
