Cancellation

Hi, we have added rooms to our Air B and B listing incorrectly and before we could change the listing to separate listings per room, we had a booking for December 2023.  This booking is now for all rooms but at a single rate!  If I proceed to request cancellation of the booking the fee charged is R900.00!  Is this correct?  Is there any way we could cancel without penalty noting that the booking is in 5 months time?

@Suzie134 Sadly Airbnb lives in a US centric world where a min US$50 fee is charged for a cancellation. This is peanuts for many but several nights fees for others.

If you are on Instant Book you can cancel free of penalty if you have concerns about the guest. Do they have any reviews that would allow you to cancel on this basis?
