I booked the wrong dates! My bad, but the host agrees to refund me for the booking as I have booked the correct dates now. How do we proceed?

For the future, there was no need to re-book the dates. You could have requested a reservation modification and the Host could have accepted that. Additionally, the Host could have modified the reservation dates and sent you a request to accept.

Did you cancel the original booking? If so, and you were within the Host's cancellation window, you would be refunded automatically according to the Host's cancellation policy. If the dates were outside the Host's free cancellation window, the Host would have to refund you manually using the Resolution Center.
