Client identification numbers

My Spanish tax advisor informed me that my Spanish tax obligation includes identification numbers for all my Airbnb clients. Consequently, I ask all clients for their identification numbers. Most are willing to share their numbers, some no not reply, some refuse.
Is it not possible for Airbnb to include the number in their downloadable csv files?

What did Airbnb say when you asked them @Monty1

I have not found a way to ask, not for a lack of trying

@Monty1  Put it in your house rules that it's mandatory that guests supply the information, or their booking will be canceled. That usually gets their attention. You would do well to explain that it's a government requirement, and that you're not just all up in their business.

Set up a timeline- like the information has to be supplied by X days before arrival, and set up an automated message as well. If they don't comply, they don't stay. If it's in your house rules, AirBnB will *usually* back you up.

It would be great, if we get more details about our guests. But I'm afraid that doesn't comply with the privacy guidelines, and we have to collect the data directly.

Hi @Monty1

There was a discussion about this over on the Spanish Community Center recently and the comment here mentions an app that allows travellers to upload their own ID information. That might encourage any guests who might be reticent to share their information.
