Co-hosts can't file damage claims?

I co-host for a property that had some issues with damages on check-out.  I went to file a dispute for damages and got this message:

"Only listing owners can start requests related to damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning. Let the owner know what happened, so they can file for reimbursement instead."

Is this accurate?  This seems like a really weird decision.  The whole point of co-hosting is so the owner doesn't have to deal with this kind of thing, and walking them through it will be a real pain.  What is the point of limiting co-hosts from filing Aircover claims?

Yes it's correct . It's always the case with any insurance that only the owner can claim.

you can obviously help the owner by collecting evidence /getting quotes etc

Hi @Ryan3331

I see you posted this last week but wanted to check in and see if you were able to get any info about this?

I will also tag one of our Community's Hosts who might have some experience with this kind of situation @Helen3
