I watch with interest the discussions here in the CC on whether elegant all-white is better than fun pastel bedding, but remain very, very quiet. I absolutely should never weigh in on those, um, "threads".
Oh, yes @Lawrene0 However at the moment that I posted, there was only women in your topic 🙂
Yes I have to deal deal with sheets, but my wife helps me with it !
By the way she does not like white linens as well ! She says coloured sheets are easy to get clean and it is more beatiful with what I agree with.
@Lawrene0..the treehouse is unique and of course, for a unique place you can have unique "bear" sheets. 🙂
@Lawrene0, I love your bear sheets and patchwork blankets! Would make me feel right at home. Like @Sarah977 I also don't do white - far too difficult to get clean without using bleach. My sheets are all turquoise, slate grey, mushroom, etc. depending on the doona (duvet) cover I happen to have on. I know coloured sheets are a major faux pas for some hosts, but I've never had a complaint yet (knock knock).
Just the picture of the bears made me see the coziness of the tree house through the guests' eyes, @Lawrene0. Love this piece so much! If only I hadn't just given away that 20-year-old flannel nightgown adorned with Christmas teddy bears...imagine the sweet little pillow it would have made.
LL Bean nightgown, @Ann72 ? I've got one set of LL Bean pillowcases left in the treehouse rotation, very vintage, that were a gift. Green stripes. Love those.
I agree with the sentiment here, I say bear linens are perfect for your treehouse @Lawrene0. I wonder if there is such a thing as treehouse trend?!?! 🙂
In general I am a bit of a fan of patchwork, it's not suitable everywhere, but I think it instantly adds character and it looks super cozy. As an existing fan of your treehouse, this makes me want to come and stay even more.

I @love the Homey touches to your tree house, white would not fit (@Helen350 , Homey not Homely) . Thats by far the nicest outhouse Ive seen in a very long time. @Bearpath Lodging, we don't do white either, for a couple reasons. We buy what's on special and matching things with the décor is actually easier than maintaining matching all white on six beds. Secondly, keeping things all white is easier said than done, our water comes from a 160 year old well that has a pretty heavy calcium level and it isn't brite white friendly. Stay well, JR
Our well was dug in 1865, @Melodie-And-John0 , so about the same vintage, but only a little calcium, and, thank goodness, less iron than usual for around here. Does fine on the whites with the help of something called OxiClean. Love that stuff.
Six beds! I don't think my well could keep up!
@Lawrene0 , luckily 2 of those beds and the showers and kitchen that goes with are in our Glamper across the road and it has its own 200 year old hand dug well also. Other than one crazy 4th of july when we had 25 guests and a slip and slide that ran all day, we havent ever run out, we have been very lucky the wells keeps pumping even during dry times (Knock on wood)! We have since forbade slip and slides at Bearpath Lodging!!!! We live on a hill called Lime Ridge so its impossible to avoid lime but no iron luckily. I will pick up some of the Oxi Clean and give it a shot , thank you for the hint. Stay well, JR
Hahaha 'I was going for a geometric feel and achieved a Halloween fail' 😂
Love the bear sheets @Lawrene0, I think white sheets in the treehouse would be completely out of place, and the bears and patchwork add character 👌 🐻
Re-using sheets by turning them into something new is also a great way to recycle - I'd hate to see the bears go to landfill so please do save them when the time comes!
I'm actually planning on making some of these soon @Helen350 as I have the lavender - unfortunately I'm lacking the bear sheets though so might have to repurpose some other material 🙂
The decor and linen adds to the flare @Lawrene0 and your treehouse speaks volumes.!!!
Love the photos, thanks for sharing your post.
Happy festivities ✨🎄🦌
