@Sophia I am sure @Doug1164 will comment but I don't think its a bug that is the issue it is the concept of two stays.

Why would a guest want to check out at say 11am and waste a day of their trip before they check in down the road at 3pm?

I can see sense in this when there is limited availability in a particular town but that isn't how it operates.
