Deposit Issue

I cancelled a property in order to book another. We were initially going to get the refund to our original payment method and decided to read the guidelines for the instant Airbnb credit. We chose the Airbnb credit. There were no stipulations on the usage. I immediately went to book the new property and instead of us being able to utilize the credited deposit for the new deposit, they issued the credit toward the total balance. We allocated that money for our deposit and the Airbnb reps are not helpful. I even asked them to refund it and that was a hard no as well. I need someone to help and fix this as the guidelines were not clear.

@Ansonia0 It is actually worse than you think. If you need to cancel the new property you will not get the credit refunded (even as a credit). Never ever take Airbnb or any other company's credit notes if you qualify for a cash refund.
