Designated Airbnb entrance

My Airbnb is in a large historic home, with other renters sharing the space, as well. The main entrance is for Airbnb guests mostly, but I do have another renter that uses it, as well (long term lease renter). My question is lately, my Airbnb guests seem to be confused by the entrance. They don’t seem to recognize the keypad on the front door as a keypad (it’s a touch screen, and maybe that’s throwing them off?  Or, they’re not looking at the checkin instructions...). There’s another private entrance on the side of the porch, and they seem to be confused by that, as well (despite the fact that the front entrance is what’s pictured on the listing).
Anyway, with all that said, what is the best way to designate the front entrance, in your opinion?  I was thinking a little Airbnb decal would be a good idea, but I’m just wondering what some other options may be?
Thank you!

@Ami19  Do you send guests a photo of the entrance they are to use and the keypad? If not, a visual pre-arrival would likely help. I'd also make up a little map of the building layout, like a house plan, but without showing all the rooms, just the perimeter marked with arrows as to which entrance is to be used.

Hi @Ami19

Welcome to the community 😊

You’re right! Most of the guest to not read the check in introduction.

That is many ideas to indicate the front door for the guest to recognize the ‘ main entrance’,

  1. The Historical House name or the house number
  2. Welcome sign or  front doormatt
  3. Front entrance decor and front entrance landscape

As you have done the outdoor light, the simple sign will be the greatest.

Way to go ✌️

@Ami19 I think an Airbnb decal is a smart idea, especially with 2 entrances. I would suggest sending them visual images of the door to use as an entrance and the keypad together with the code. This way if they get the code you know they have seen the images. I would also make note of the second entrance and that it is private.
