Discovering sheet stains
Please forgive a super-newbie laundry question. I tend to discover small stains as I'm putting freshly laundered sheets on the bed. Do you all carefully examine all sheets before washing to pretreat stains or do you use something in your wash to remove stains you're not aware of?

@Kathleane0 I was just about to say that. I once had some kind of large grease stain on the bedspread which was blue. I pretreated and it didn't come out in the wash and I couldn't tell until it was dried and on the bed. I laid it on the kitchen floor so I could really see well and vinegar soaked in several spots. Then I used very hot water and scrubbed it a bit with Dawn dish detergent. Back in the wash with warm water and it came out good as new. Now if it had been a sheet I probably wouldn't have felt it worth the effort and just tossed it. But this was the bedspread so it did warrant one more round. After that they would have been charged for replacement.

No need to apologize; it’s a great question! Many people have faced the same issue. Here are a couple of approaches:
Pre-Wash Check: It’s a good practice to inspect your sheets before washing. Look for any visible stains and pretreat them with a stain remover or a bit of detergent before washing. This can help ensure that the stains are dealt with effectively.
Stain-Removing Boosters: If you often miss small stains, you might consider using a stain-removing booster in your wash. These products can help tackle any unnoticed spots during the wash cycle, providing an extra layer of cleaning power.
Combining both methods—checking for stains before washing and using a booster—can lead to fresher, cleaner sheets!

Google Translation added by Community Manager: First of all, you can use white vinegar. You apply a little bit to the stain, let it sit for about 15 minutes and then wash it as usual in the machine. The second option is baking soda, you also apply it to the stain, leave it to act for 15 to 20 minutes.
