Hello!
I have a delema I need some help on. I have only been hosting since July of 2023. I am finally getting the word out on my place. The other day I had someone book for next summer and naturally I was excited about it. Today I am searching another events page to find the dates released for a future event so I can adjust my pricing for that weekend. To my dismay I see that earlier booking I was so excited for is for the weekend event I was searching dates for.I sure hate to cancel on my guests but I also hate to miss out on a big money making weekend. I know it will book out with the updated pricing I just don’t want to be a jerk or get a bad review for it. What decision do I make?

@Racheal22 You're getting money for that weekend just as you would for any other weekend booking. Take it and be happy.
Hello @Racheal22
I would read the link below before you decide to cancel an Airbnb reservation as the penalties have just got tougher on hosts who cancel for no valid reason.

I'm sure you'll be able to rebook at a higher price as you say but it won't be via the Airbnb site as on top of the penalty fee, your calendar will be blocked for the dates cancelled.
It sounds like your calendar is open for at least 9 months in advance? With a calendar open for bookings so much in advance you have to be sure that your pricing is up to date, especially if you are in a town with lots of events. You could shorten the lead time on your calendar opening if you are still testing the waters?

Thank you. I had decided that choice as soon as I sent the message. Lesson learned.
Hey @Racheal22 what events page do you use to search for events?
Thanks for your help
I apologize for the late response. I’m just seeing this message. I use anything Smith Lake related and surrounding towns. I search and follow all these pages on FB.
