Hi, I'm looking for options when traveling with my dogs. One of the necessities is a fenced yard. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to filter for pet-friendly homes with fully fenced yards. I'm looking broadly in New England at the moment. Any advice?

Please let users filter Airbnbs for fenced yards, to allow people with pets and children to find the right stay for them. Having a fenced yard is a requirement for some people. The only alternative is to manually search through Google for "site:airbnb.com fenced yard [location]", then manually open each page and see if it's available.
As another commenter said, filtering for a fenced yard seems at least as useful as filtering for grand pianos and windfalls.

Umm people who say “useful as filtering for grand pianos” don’t have dogs or children. This is possibly the #1 thing I look for when searching. It is ignorant to think people don’t want this as a search option.
I took "at least as useful" to mean "it's actually much more important". Everybody in this thread seems to want it, so why would they be saying otherwise?
BTW, still no way to search for this. I'm flabbergasted that this has never been implemented for either ABNB or VRBO.
Yes...many guests with pets or kids want a property with a fenced yard. Until a filter for fenced yard is available, you can:
Start by using the Pets Allowed Filter at the top:
Then, look at the amenities section on the listing you choose and look for:
"private back yard - fully fenced"
Some issues with this...
In some cases, Hosts have a fenced front yard, some have forgotten to include they have a fenced back yard under amenities, and some put private back yard, but forget to add the little edit to indicate if it's fenced or not. In addition, if it is a shared home, Hosts can't say "Private backyard" as it's actually shared with the Host.
Sigh. A filter would be so much easier, as it would eliminate listings without a fenced yard to begin with.
I know! This seems like such a simple thing to implement, and hosts would be able to make use of the feature in a way they already understand. I've done the "search for pets allowed and then scroll through the listing to amenities" thing, and it's a pain.
How is this still not possible?! Thanks for posting the workaround. That has been helpful!!
I've been on this journey also. There's an str aggregator site called hometogo that has a 'fully fenced' filter. It basically pulls Vrbo's, but seems like most homes are on both Airbnb and Vrbo anyway. I was about to lose my mind sifting through all the pet-friendly listings. So happy to have found something that helped isolate the ones with fenced yards.
Sara, thanks for that tip! I actually found a few affordable options. I did find that it also pulls homes that just have fencing around features like hot tub or swimming pool, etc. But at least it narrows the options down a lot!!
Hey, that's actually somewhat useful. I had looked around for aggregators, but hadn't found anything conclusive; thanks for the tip!
