First 4 star

I just had first 4 star even though all but one was marked at 5 star it was for value. Our accommodation is priced for 4 people offering so much in extra. How long before we are 5 star again. Very disappointing airbnb drop us below 5 star for a minor point.

Sorry to be the one to tell you, but you can’t get a perfect 5 again. Actually, the first time it happens is a celebration. It means you are evolving as a host.

What is frustrating are guests who enjoyed their stay, had nothing specific to complain about, wrote that the property and host were terrific, and still gave 4 stars.

This is just part of how the dynamics work here, and you should accept it as it is.

As long as you do not drop below 4.7, there is no need to worry.

Value is one of the categories I wish Airbnb would get rid of or at least not have it count towards any metrics. It is just too subjective. Same for location. Hosts can't actually move the location of the listing now can they? Guests can easily see where the listing is located and get the actual address after booking. 

Also, most guests tend to believe if a listing only has 5stars that some of the reviews are fake. Most guests are fine with Guest Favorite status and a 4.9 rating over a property with strictly 5star ratings.

I sent my thoughts to the airbnb feedback.  Maybe if more of us send feedback we may encourage them to review how this all works.
