First time hosting

Hey guys,

I’m looking to become a host for the first time and rent out the second bedroom in my rental property to earn some money whilst I’m in between work contracts. I’ll be living in the property and would really appreciate some tips and tricks that’ll help!

@Emily2642 First things to consider are

1) Is it legal in your area?

2) As leased, does your lease allow it?

3) Will your insurers allow it?

Then its the basics such as

Do you need a fire risk assessment?

Gas safety?

Electrical safety

Then what is your market?

Couples? Singles, Work, Leisure?
