Frustrated

I have made several attempts to book a property that states it is available but when I enter the dates and try to book it it says it’s not available. I have extended the stay…same thing. No response from anyone explaining why. It is the perfect property but super frustrating and irritating.

Easiest way to identify issues is to go to the calendar on the listing itself. Select the check-in day - if it's not blocked but there's another restriction (such as a no check-in rule), it will show a small "host unavailable" call-out when you click the date. Similarly, if the checkout date is open but not selectable, it'll show a minimum stay requirement or "host unavailable" if it's affected by some rule.

You can also scroll down to the host section and select "Message Host". Select the nearest days that the calendar will allow  (this is just an enquiry, not a booking), and ask the host about your preferred dates.

In addition to @Shelley159 's advice...you can also choose the Instant Book filter so you will be able to narrow your search to properties that offer that instead of Request to Book.

It is usually best to message the host and ask if there is something preventing you to book. If they don’t respond in a timely manner, you could also call Airbnb customer support for some answers or to reach out to the host on your behalf. Airbnb customer support number : (844) 234-2500

Many hosts have shared different options to try to solve this: reaching out to the host, contacting the support team, using the Instant Book filter, among others. What did you decide to do in the end?
