Get review link

Hey guys,

When it comes to getting reviews, it can be hit or miss with guests. Often in my listing, I find that newer guests who have not been on Airbnb for a long time are less inclined to leave a review. I usually wait a week and then send them a kind reminder to leave one. I usually get an apologetic reply back, that unfortunately the review period has expired and they cannot do anything.

I'm wondering if I anyone knows if I can get the link that goes straight into the review page somewhere? I want to make it as easy as possible for them.

As a side note - I really wish it was possible for Airbnb to extend the review period, either by special request (I've tried contacting support), or by manual intervention. Currently it is 14 days. It's a shame that a guest can't leave a review if they are 1-2 days late. Who's with me on this!?

Hello @Tariq52 👋

Thank you so much for bringing this topic to our community!

I’m tagging a few of our experienced Hosts to see if they know how to get a link that goes straight to the review page: @Bettye6@Debra300@Patricia2526 @Joan2709 and @Joelle43.

Additionally, I’d like to share the feedback form where you can suggest changes to the review period directly to the Airbnb team.

Regards,

Hi Tariq, @Bettye6@Debra300@Patricia2526 @Joan2709@Joelle43 and @Paula has someone figured this out? I would also find extremely handy to have a direct link to share with guests so that they find leaving reviews easier.

As far as I know, there haven't been any new updates geared towards this. I left  some feedback for Airbnb again today on it after you reminded me!

Airbnb reminds guests at least three times to leave a review that's plenty of reminders. @Tariq52

i don't want to hassle my guests by sending more reminders .

About 90% of my guests leave reviews .

and I think two weeks is plenty of time for hosts guests to leave reviews .guests who use Airbnb will have a mobile or other tech so it's easy enough for them to leave a review if they want ..

@Helen3

That's great that you're getting 90% review completion and don't want to hassle them by sending more reminders.

Consider the following:

-I've had guests that travel immediately after their stay and are too busy to get to their reviews
-I've had guests that don't have the app and don't check reminders
-I've had guests that tell me they want to leave a review but the review period on Airbnb ran out

For new hosts, getting reviews is everything. This is just another option for hosts to try and get them easier.

Quite honestly when a review only takes a few minutes to do two weeks is enough time.

Many of my guests are travellers too and don't have an issue leaving reviews on the road . Airbnb travellers are in the main digital savy and used to leaving online re reviews on the phone @Tariq52

If you want to remind them do so via the platform they receive the link from airbnb in their messaging so can click on it there.
